Annotation

This Standard specifies sealants for buildings (hereafter referred to as sealants), which are applied in an unformed state to the joints of building components such as metal, concrete or glass and which, after curing, ensure water tightness and air tightness by adhering to the building members.

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard are as follows.

ISO 11600 : 2002 Building construction - Jointing products - Classification and requirements for sealants and Amendment 1 : 2011 (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standards and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21 -1.
