Annotation

The present guideline VDI 3813 Part 2 applies to room control applications as part of BACS in the building services (cost type 484 as per DIN 276-1: 2008-12).

It supplements the guideline VDI 3813 Part 1 by adding an unambiguous, detailed description methodology and documentation templates including an RA function list.

The informative (non-normative) function block representations only serve for explaining the procedure of how the respective functions can be represented in a system documentation; they do not serve for standardizing the procedure of programming functions and applications.

However, the function block representations allow unambiguous description of room control functions so that these functions can be used in planning and execution as a basis for technical specifications.

The RA function list is used in planning for a clear presentation of the desired RA functions with regard to both quality and quantity, facilitating the installer's task of planning and calculating the required hardware and software.
