Diese Norm legt einen Torsionsscher-Versuch zur Ermittlung der Scherfestigkeit vorwiegend anaerober Klebstoffe und der vergleichenden Beurteilung ihrer Scherbeanspruchbarkeit, wie sie durch andere Versuche, z. B. Zugscherversuch nach DIN EN 1465, nicht ermittelt werden kann, fest.
