Annotation

This standard deals with masonry work using masonry units made of natural stone or cast stone.

This standard does not cover

- shuttering blocks (see DIN 18331),

- ashlar walling (see DIN 18332),

- cast stone work (see DIN 18333), provided the cast stone does not have a loadbearing function,

- dry lining and partitioning (see DIN 18340),

- work on external thermal insulation composite systems (see DIN 18345).

DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, DIN 18330 shall take precedence.
