Annotation
This standard applies for profiled rail guides with recirculating rolling elements according to DIN ISO 12090-1 and DIN ISO 12090-2 and defines safety relevant specifications for dimensioning and operation.
It is to be utilised for reducing potential hazards when using profiled rail guides, as well as for evaluating and determining residual risks, and will therefore simplify the tasks of manufacturers of machines when utilising profiled rail guides with recirculating rolling elements when implementing the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
NOTE User(s) of profiled rail guides is/are taken to be in the sense of this document user(s) such as e.g. machinery manufacturers, plant and/or system constructors, system integrators and other companies which introduce profiled rail guards onto the market place.
