Annotation
This standard identifies the minimum job performance requirements (JPRs) for personnel at the scene of a hazardous materials/weapons of mass destruction (WMD) incident at the following levels: awareness, operations, operations mission-specific, hazardous materials technician, and incident commander.
Purpose. The purpose of this standard is to specify the minimum JPRs for service at the scene of a hazardous materials/ weapons of mass destruction incident at the following levels: awareness, operations, operations mission-specific, hazardous materials technician, and incident commander.
This standard shall define personnel at the scene of a hazardous materials/weapons of mass destruction incident at the following levels: awareness, operations, operations missionspecific, hazardous materials technician, and incident commander.
The intent of this standard shall be to ensure that personnel at the scene of a hazardous materials/weapons of mass destruction incident at the levels of awareness, operations, operations mission-specific, hazardous materials technician, and incident commander are qualified.
This standard shall not address organization or management responsibility.
It is not the intent of this standard to restrict any jurisdiction from exceeding or combining these minimum requirements.
JPRs for each level and position are the tasks personnel shall be able to perform to carry out the job duties.
Personnel at the scene of a hazardous materials/weapons of mass destruction incident at the levels of awareness, operations, operations mission-specific, hazardous materials technician, and incident commander shall remain current with the general knowledge and skills and JPRs addressed for each level or position of qualification.
