Annotation

This guide defines methods for determining the uncertainty of measured, calculated or predicted vibration quantities (vibration characteristics) that are used:

— to evaluate hazards due to vibration at the workplace,

— to evaluate vibration immission in the environment,

— to evaluate the vibration of machinery.

Detailed examples of the application of the individual methods in practice are provided in the annexes. 1)

This guide also describes how to deal with uncertainty when comparing determined values with required values.

This guide can be used to determine the uncertainty of vibration quantities in practice and to draw up standards in different fields of application.
