Annotation

The purpose of this guideline is to provide information about the qualifications applicable to a Competent Person tasked with conducting inspections of ladders, steps and mobile platforms and stagings within the meaning of the Workplace Safety and Health Ordinance (BetrSichV). This guideline does not cover the inspection of:

- roof ladders

- rope ladders

- vertically rising ladders

- ladders for children's playground equipment

- motorized ladders (turntable ladders on fire trucks, for example)
