Annotation

This standard is intended to provide information to its readers and – if possible – also help them define a suitable thermography measurement system. With regard to the individual measuring situations, performance features should be identified which enable the implementation of measuring tasks by taking into consideration the boundary conditions.

The description of the information does not follow the thermographic systems or measuring systems that are currently available on the market, but it refers to the measuring task itself. This means that ultimately, the measuring task defines the required and necessary performance of the measurement technique and the measuring devices that are to be applied. Fundamentals and methods are given to estimate measuring errors and to evaluate and report the measurement results, based on the applied device technology.
