Annotation

The guideline app^es to all fields where means of production are planned, purchased, operated, and maintained. It is the basis for the planning and realis¬ ing of the maintenance processes and, thanks to clear definitions, allows to determine the maintenance costs both in advance and over the entire life of a means of production.

Strict application of the guideline is only possible in the case of new plants to be planned, as the data is defined at the offer stage.

Limitations can be agreed for means of production which are manufactured only once, or for the first time. Data that cannot be determined until the design is completed, shall be supplied, at the latest, before beginning to manufacture the means of production.

Subject to agreement, parts of the guideline can be used to increase the transparency of existing maintenance situations.

Stated properties, which are described in terms of a numerical value and associated dimension, shall be agreed between the parties involved (customer/supplier).
