Annotation
This Standard provides pictorial reference standards for designating the degree of chalking of paint coatings by the tape method in a scheme to rate the quantity of defects in coating, its size and the degree of uniform change in appearance.
NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.
ISO 4628-6: 2011 Paints and varnishes-Evaluation of degradation of coatings-Designation of quantity and size of defects, and of intensity of uniform changes in appearance-Part 6: Assessment of degree of chalking by tape method (MOD)
In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/lEC Guide 21-1.
