Annotation
This standard deals with the drainage of land by means of drain pipes or mole drains and the installation of infiltration systems (with or without water retention) and also covers placement of materials and components with a permanent filter function and permitting percolation of water.
This standard does not cover
- the associated earthwork (see DIN 18300),
- the laying of closed conduits and drain pipes (including manholes) for sewerage purposes (see DIN 18306),
- drainage at great depths and deep-well infiltration.
DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5, also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, DIN 18308 shall take precedence.
