Scope and field of aplication
The standards LN 9163 Part 1 and Part 6 define the ISO metric thread for aerospace purposes. In order to facilitate, primarily for the design engineer, the use of the different selections of nominal diameters, pitches and tolerance classes in manufacturing documents, the detailed specifications on field of application, designation and tolerance classes of ISO metric threads given in LN 9163 Part 2 ato Part 5 and Part 7 have been complied in a survey in the present standard.
