Chain connectors - Part 1: Flat type connectors

Annotation
This standard applies to flat type connectors used to connect round steel link chains with the same pitch according to DIN 22252 and flat link chains with the same pitch according to DIN 22255.
When using flat type connectors in conveyors with a closed bottom run, care shall be taken that there is sufficient clearance between the external width of the flat type connector and the space in the bottom race.
Flat type connectors are not allowed to be installed vertically in conveyors with flat link chains according to DIN 22255.
Flat type connectors according to this standard shall not be used as lifting accessories, slings or loadbearing devices within the meaning of DIN 15003.
