Annotation
This Standard specifies the measuring method for the dimensional change caused by washing, dry cleaning, immersion, drying, finishing treatment, etc. of textiles. However, the fabrics and the floor coverings are excluded.
NOTE: The International Standards corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.
ISO 3759 : 2007 Textiles—Preparation, marking and measuring of fabric specimens and garments in tests for determination of dimensional change
ISO 5077 : 2007 Textiles—Determination of dimensional change in washing and drying (Overall evaluation: MOD)
In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standards and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/lEC Guide 21-1.
