С 1-го января 1995, все подъемные краны, недавно размещающиеся в рынок на территории Европейского союза, должны соответствовать инструкциям Директивы 95/16/EC Машинного оборудования. Это предоставляет, который вытягивает шею с рабочей нагрузкой, не меньше чем 1000 кг или наклоняющийся момент не меньше чем 40 000 N m должны быть оснащены устройствами, "предупреждающими водителя и предотвращающими опасные движения загрузки".
