Purpose of this guideline
This guideline gives an overview of the materials handling systems EPCT and ECT and their application ranges.
Furthermore, the manufacturers and users is given a reference in order to realise cost-efficient EPTC and ECT systems (as for the ETL, guideline VDI 3643).
Only basic system data has been specified, which serves to enable the design of compatible EPCT and ECT systems. This only presents minimal limits to the freedom of choice in the design.
