Scope of application

The following design and calculation rules apply to vertical, cylindrical flat-bottom tanks which are fabricated from thermoplastics in the factory, in particular:

– polyvinyl chloride (PVC)

– polypropylene (PP)

– polyethylene (PE)

– polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)

The cylindrical shell with an identical wall thickness throughout or with a graduated wall thickness can be welded together from panels or may consist of a wound pipe or an extruded pipe.
