Annotation

This Standard defines the symbols and gives descriptions of the dimensions of bolts, screws, studs and nuts for use in the appropriate product standards and drawings.

NOTE 1 The figures of the fasteners in this Standard are given only as examples.

NOTE 2 The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows:

ISO 225: 2010 Fasteners-Bolts, screws, studs and nuts-Symbols and descriptions of dimensions (IDT)

The symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/ lEC Guide 21-1.
