Annotation
This standard applies to fasteners in accordance with DIN ISO 8992 and DIN EN ISO 14589.
This standard specifies minimum requirements regarding information groups and sections (i.e. code numbers, designations and definitions) as in DIN EN 10168 to be given in inspection documents as specified in DIN EN 10204, issued for fasteners.
The specifications of this standard may also be used for test certificates not issued by the manufacturer and in cases where the issue of inspection documents in accordance with DIN EN 10204 has been agreed without specifying details as to their content.
NOTE 1 An inspection document need not be issued if the manufacturer (code A04) is able to make available on request the information as detailed in the present standard on the basis of the documents accompanying the consignment or a number identifying the product (batch identification code B07).
NOTE 2 Since the values given in an inspection document do not represent guaranteed characteristics of the product concerned, an obligation still exists to submit all products to a receiving inspection.
