Annotation

This standard deals with oxidative gas scrubbing processes to reduce gas and aerosol air pollutants and odorants in the waste gas streams of technical processes.

Apart from particle transport and attachment to the scrubbing liquid, wet separators must also provide for subsequent removal of entrained particles from the gas stream. This process is carried out in mist eliminators, which are the subject of Part 3. All aspects relating to operation and maintenance, measurement equipment, technical warranties and other basic principles are dealt with in Part 1. Therefore this Part 4 should be used only in conjunction with Part 1
