Annotation
This recommended practice covers the maintenance inspection, repair, evaluation for continued use, and the methods for computing the maximum allowable working pressure of pressure vessels constructed in accordance with any of the several editions of the former API-ASME Code for Unfired Pressure Vessels, the several editions of Section VIII of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, other recognized pressure vessel codes, or approved as jurisdictional special. Adoption of this recommended practice as a code does not permit its being used in conflict with any prevailing regulatory requirements.
