Statistical Analysis of Crude Oil Recovery and Recovery Efficiency
N BULL D14
Annotation
Foreword
a. This bulletin was prepared by the API Subcommittee on Recovery Efficiency working under the administration of the American Petroleum Institute Production Department's Executive Committee on Drilling and Production Practice.
b. API Bulletin D14: A Statistical Study of Recovery Efficiency, First Edition, October 1967, presented conclusions and equations which evolved from a study undertaken by the API Subcommittee on Recovery Efficiency in 1956. The Subcommittee's assignment then was to study reservoir recovery processes based on actual performance data from producing fields rather than on theoretical or laboratory data. The objective of the current study was to expand the data base of the original study and study oil recovery based on actual field performance data.
c. This Second Edition supersedes and replaces the First Edition, October 1967.
d. Every effort has been made by API to assure the accuracy and reliability of data contained in this report. However, the Institute makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee in connection with the report contents and hereby expressly disclaims any liability or responsibility for loss or damage resulting from use or application hereunder, for any violation of Federal, state, or municipal regulation with which the contents may conflict, or for the infringement of any patent resulting from the use of this publication.
