Annotation

This Standard specifies the general technical delivery requirements for steel and steel products with the exception of steel forgings/castings and powder metallurgical products.

The delivery requirements agreed at the time of ordering or those specified in the product standard shall apply when the requirements specified in this Standard differ from the said requirements.

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

ISO 404: 1992 Steel and steel products-General technical delivery requirements (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/lEC Guide 21-1.
