Annotation

This Standard specifies luminaires with LED light source and/or fluorescent lamp of an input voltage not exceeding a.c. 300 V for general lighting 1), without using such connectors as attachment plugs and hang-type ceiling rosettes. However, this Standard does not apply to the following items.

a) Luminaires excluding general purpose luminaire 2)

b) Portable luminaire, road and street luminaires, and projectors.

c) Luminaires using compact self-ballasted LED lamp and/or compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp

Notes 1) General lighting means "uniform lighting of the whole room, instead of lighting a specific part" (see JIS Z 8113).

2) Examples of luminaires excluding general purpose luminaires are described in NOTE of clause 1 of JIS C 8105-3.
