Annotation

This Standard specifies the general requirements for bonded abrasive products such as grinding wheels, honing stones, superfinishings, cutting-off wheels, mounted wheels and hand finishing sticks and stones, excluding abrasive products with diamond or cubic boron nitride (cBN).

This Standard specifies:

- dimensional symbols;

- type number and profile;

- requirements for dimensions, limit deviation and tolerances as well as permissible unbalance;

- specification mark;

- safety

- marking requirements.

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

ISO 525: 2013 Bonded abrasive products-General requirements (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/lEC Guide 21-1.
