ULC PREFACE

This is the Second Edition of the Standard CAN/ULC-61243-3-10 (CEI/IEC 61243-3:2009, MOD), Live working – Voltage detectors – Part 3: Two-pole low-voltage type, which is an adoption, with Canadian Deviations, of the international standard by International Electrotechnical Commission, CEI/IEC 61243-3 (Edition 2.0 2009-11).

This Standard applies only to devices designed specifically for use by the electric utility industry. For devices applicable to other industries, refer to CSA C22.2 No. 160-M1985 (R1992), Voltage and Polarity Testers.

This Edition of the Standard has been formally approved by the ULC Committee on Live Working and has been approved as a National Standard of Canada by the Standards Council of Canada.
