Annotation

Scope and application

This RP is applicable for verification and certification of manufacturing, testing and commissioning activities regarding fixed OSS’s for WPP. It is aiming primarily at AC transformer platforms but may also be used analogously for AC/DC converter platforms, accommodation platforms and reactive compensation platforms, where applicable.

It exclusively covers manufacturing, testing and commissioning processes, handled at the supplier’s facility/ shipyard or at the offshore site, regarding structures, components and systems intended for offshore substations.

For the development and execution of the manufacturing, testing and commissioning campaign this RP is an OSS-specific supplement to the applied service specification and standards. If applied, all requirements ensuring that manufacturing, testing and commissioning activities are fully in compliance with the certification requirements shall be observed.

It is noted that the final acceptance of commissioning is the Owner’s responsibility. This RP only covers activities associated with DNVGL’s third party verification and certification.

The manufacturing, testing and commissioning of array power cables and export power cables including their termination on the OSS are not part of the scope.
