Annotation

This standard deals with work to improve the performance of underground drainage and sewerage systems and related structures fully or partially incorporating the existing system.

This standard does not cover

- work involving renovation using centrifugally cast cement mortar,

- ground water lowering work (see DIN 18305),

- the installation of underground drainage and sewerage systems (see DIN 18306),

- laying of pressure pipework (see DIN 18307),

- grouting operations to fill cavities in the ground or in rock from the sewer or from other structures (see DIN 18309),

- the repair or strengthening of components of the drainage or sewerage system using concrete or similar materials applied by spraying and compacting in one operation (see DIN 18314),

- trenchless pipelaying using the bursting techniques or microtunnelling (see DIN 18319),

- work to preserve and repair concrete structures and components (see DIN 18349),

- laying of tiles and slabbing in drainage or sewerage system components or structures (see DIN 18352),

- plumbing work associated with the installation of pipework for gas, water and drainage services inside buildings and other structures (see DIN 18381).
