Scope of application
This guideline applies to the qualification testing of the knowledge and skills of plastics adhesive bonders. These are specialists who are to execute adhesive-bonded joints on thermoplastics (PVC-U, PVC-C and ABS) in new fabrication and maintenance in piping construction, apparatus engineering and domestic installation using solvent-based adhesives. It must be applied wherever application standards or guidelines or agencies responsible for the area of application demand the deployment of certified plastics adhesive bonders.
