Annotation

 

This test method covers the determination of the apparent viscosity of hydrocarbon resins having apparent viscosities up to 2,000,000 millipascal seconds (mPa·s) (Note 1) at temperatures up to 300°C [572°F].

NOTE 1—The SI unit of (dynamic) viscosity is the pascal second. The centipoise (cP) is one millipascal second (mPa·s) and is frequently used as a viscosity unit.

The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.
