Annotation
All parts of the DIN 18008 standards series apply to the design and construction of building products made of glass.
This Part 1 specifies the basics valid for all parts of the standard. This standard is not applicable to individual panes of nominal glass thicknesses of less than 3 mm and greater than 19 mm, respectively.
Unless specified otherwise in the subsequent parts of the standard, requirements for the support structure (glazing bead, substructure, fixation on the building) do not form part of this standard.
