Annotation
This standard, as part of the BS 7121 series, is concerned with the safe use of cranes. This part of the series is related to side boom pipe layers when used in various lifting applications. Covered within the document are ways the rated lift capacity can be: calculated; and validated by testing. Also included in the document are recommendations relating to: Safety; Thorough examinations; Management of lifting operations; Duties/selection of personnel. The standard is aimed primarily at crane users and owners but also contains recommendations for competent persons involved in crane testing.
