Это цель этой нормы:
- Вырабатывать процесс нормы для оценки надежности лазерных модулей, чтобы связанный с этими модулями риск на минимум уменьшался и разработке продуктов и надежности продукта содействуют;
- Создавать средство, которыми может определяться распределение отказов о времени. Это должно было делать возможным определение интенсивности отказов устройств для установленных критериев времени жизни.
