Annotation

This Standard specifies stainless steel sanitary pipes (hereafter referred to as "pipes") used for the food and dairy industries and medical and pharmaceutical industries. This Standard is generally applicable to pipes of outside diameters in the range of 25.4 mm to 165.2 mm.

The purchaser may designate the special quality requirements specified in Annex JA in addition to items specified in the text based on the previous agreement with the manufacturer.

NOTE : The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows :

ISO 2037: 1992 Stainless steel tubes for the foodlndustry(MOD)

The symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between JIS and the corresponding International Standard are IDT (identical), MOD (modified) and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
