Annotation

This Standard specifies the terms for the rotary shaft lip-type seals incorporating elastomeric sealing elements (hereafter referred to as "rotary shaft lip-type seal"). The terms are classified into five categories: terms for types of rotary shaft lip-type seals, terms for parts/portions/tolerances and fits of rotary shaft lip-type seals, terms for visual imperfections, terms for storage, handling and installation, and terms for performance test procedure.

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard andJIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/ IEC Guide 21-1.
