Annotation
This Standard specifies the communication of hazard statements of chemicals based on GHS, that is, the items, contents and general layout, and the method for communication by labels, labelling in a workplace and SDS that are created or carried out based on a hazard class and a hazard category.
This Standard does not specify a fixed format nor does it include a blank label and SDS.
NOTE 1 As an interim measure, JIS Z 7251 : 2006 or JIS Z 7251:2010 may be applied to labelling until December 31, 2015; after that, JIS Z 7251 : 2010 may be applied to labelling until December 31, 2016. Also, JIS Z 7250 : 2005 or JIS Z 7250 : 2010 may be applied to preparation of SDS until December 31, 2015; after that, JIS Z 7250 : 2010 may be applied to preparation of SDS until December 31, 2016.
NOTE 2 The International Standards corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.
