Annotation
This guideline covers the basic underlying principles of physical and chemical gas-phase adsorption for air pollution control applications, characterises the commercial adsorbents employed and describes some of the deriving adsorption technologies from the total spectrum of applications. In view of the applicationspecific particularities, a comparative technical and economic assessment of the adsorptive waste gas cleaning processes as well as a comparison with alternative waste gas cleaning technologies have been dispensed with.
